Construction of Gautam Buddha Cricket Stadium delayed, only 65 percent completed
Chitwan. The construction of the Gautam Budh International Cricket Stadium under construction in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-15 has not been able to take the expected pace. Although the goal is to complete the construction by January 27, only 65 percent of the work has been completed so far.
The work has been affected due to the delay in releasing the budget from Bagmati province, the increase in the price of construction materials, the change in the weather and the need to build on old structures. The construction company also said that the work cannot be completed within the specified time.
The construction of the stadium's main field, electricity connection and some structures is still left. Two of the four parapits have been completed. 90 percent of the third parapet and 70 percent of the fourth have been completed. Currently, around 80 workers are engaged in construction every day.
