Congress has submitted a letter to the Election Commission not to hold a special convention

Kathmandu. The Nepali Congress has filed a petition with the Election Commission not to hold a special convention. Congress Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba Paksha reached the Election Commission and registered a petition. The Central Committee meeting of the Congress held today has also expelled Nepal from the party for 5 years including Deputy General Minister Gagan Kumar Thapa, Bishwa Prakash Sharma, Joint General Minister Farmullah Mansoor.

The meetin of the central working committee held at the party's central office, Sanepa, while deciding the course of action, asked those who were in favor of the special convention to return to their respective roles. It is said that action was taken against them for calling a special convention against the party decision. The General Minister called for a special convention demanded by 54 percent of the party's convention delegates.
