Congress Controversy: Supreme Court refuses to grant interim order

Kathmandu. The Supreme Court has refused to issue an interim order regarding the Nepali Congress dispute. The Supreme Court refused to grant an interim order in a writ against the Election Commission's decision to recognize Gagan Thapa as the Congress president.
Supreme Court Judge Sunil Kumar Pokharel's bench refused to grant interim order. The Sher Bahadur Deuba faction of the Nepali Congress filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the Election Commission for recognizing the central committee led by Thapa, who was elected as the chairman from the special convention. With the Supreme Court refusing to issue an interim order, the election program will not be stopped.
