Congress Central Working Committee meeting
Kathmandu. The meeting of the Nepali Congress Central Working Committee will be held today. A meeting is scheduled to be held at the party central office on Friday at 3 pm. The 15th Congress of the party and contemporary political issues will be discussed in the meeting.
Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel has informed that the presence of officials and members of the Central Performance Committee has been requested in the said meeting. Congress general ministers Gagan Thapa and Bishwaprakash Sharma called a special convention and the performance committee meeting was called.
Party president Sher Bahadur Deuba has started discussions with the leaders of the establishment party after the leaders in favor of the special convention are preparing to hold a special convention in Kathmandu from 27th to 28th. Deuba has started discussions to stop the special convention as it will weaken the party and lead to division. Accordingly, Deuba had a discussion with the Acting Chairman Purna Bahadur Khadka and leader Ramesh Ukhtar on Thursday morning.
Deuba called him to his residence in Maharajgunj and discussed the counter move with the Acting Chairman. After the 15th convention scheduled from December 26 to 28 will not take place, General Minister Thapa and Sharma are preparing to call a special convention. After they got involved in the necessary preparations, including finding a hall, working on the legislation, the founding side started discussing to stop it.
