Congress central committee meeting adjourned today
Kathmandu. The central working committee meeting of Nepali Congress has been postponed again. Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel informed that the meeting called for today has been postponed till Saturday. The central working committee meeting which started on October 28 has not been able to reach a conclusion as it is focused on the convention. Because of this, the meeting has been repeatedly postponed.
Earlier, in the meeting held on November 19th, General Minister Gagan Thapa submitted the agenda for the party's 15th convention to be held from December 16 to 19, while Joint General Minister Mahendra Yadav presented the agenda for the convention to be held from 27 to 30 Baisakh 2083. The process of making suggestions for and against these two proposals continues in the meeting.
The Congress, the largest party in the dissolved parliament, is currently mired in internal disputes. There is a heated debate within the Congress on whether it should be a regular convention or a regular convention. Chairman Deuba is in regular discussion with the leaders for a middle way solution. But the agreement could not be reached.
