Collect taxes by making the tax payers happy, not by suppressing them: Finance Minister Wagle

Kathmandu. Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has instructed the tax administrators to collect the tax by making the tax payers happy. He gave this instruction while addressing the tax officers under the department across the country at the Internal Revenue Department, Lazimpat on Thursday.

"Don't oppress the taxpayers, collect taxes by making them happy," said the finance minister, "let me hear in the market (there has been a great improvement in tax administration, there is no burden to pay taxes, no one is panicking." He has asked the tax administrators to include taxpayers in the scope of taxes through voluntary tax compliance rather than forcing and panicking them for tax collection.
