Kathmandu. The US Department of State has made permanent the visa bond program implemented for tourist and business visas. According to the new arrangement, citizens of 50 countries, including Nepal, Bangladesh and Bhutan, will have to put up a bond bond of 10,000 or 20,000 US dollars up to 300,000 US dollars when they apply for American B-1 business and B-2 tourist visas.
According to the notice published in the US Federal Register on Friday, after a one-year review, the program was found to be effective and it was decided to make it permanent.
