China stood in favor of Iran, said - "Economic embargo is not a solution"
Kathmandu. China has stated that the conflict in the Middle East will not be resolved by increasing US sanctions and pressure on Iran, and emphasized that the problem should be resolved through political and diplomatic means. This view of China has come at a time when the US is asking countries including China to participate in its campaign to isolate the Iranian economy.
US President Donald Trump has been warning to increase economic pressure on the Iranian regime. Iran has termed the US campaign as 'economic terrorism'. Asked about Trump's latest warning on Friday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said sanctions and pressure cannot solve the problem.
