Kathmandu. The claim of the Chief Minister in Madhes province has to be submitted today. Provincial Chief Minister Surendra Lab Karna has given time till 5 pm today to the parties represented in the Provincial Assembly to submit their claims for the post of Chief Minister. Nepali Congress Provincial Assembly parliamentary party leader Krishan Yadav and LOSPA leader Jitendra Sonal, who is also a former chief minister, did not give up their claims, but seven parties were able to decide on the chief minister in Madhes province.

The seven-party meeting that was held all day on Thursday failed to reach an agreement on the Chief Minister.
A member of Parliament said that although the seven parties held a seven-hour meeting in Janakpur yesterday, no conclusion was reached.

In yesterday's meeting of the seven parties, the four parties of the state assembly who did not claim the chief ministership have been given the task of finalizing the name of one of Yadav and Sonal as the chief minister. Jaspa, Janmaat, Maoist Center and United Samawadi have got the responsibility of finalizing the name of the Chief Minister. After Yadav and Sonal did not give up their claims in the meeting of the seven parties, Maoist Parliamentary Party leader Bharat Shah proposed to give the responsibility of finalizing the name of the Chief Minister to four parties.

According to Shah's proposal, four parties have been given the task of finalizing the name of the Chief Minister in the meeting. In yesterday's meeting, both Yadav and Sonal promised that they would accept whatever name was finalized by the four parties, said the MP.
