Chief Election Commissioner Bhandari's call to vote confidently
Kathmandu. Acting Chief Election Commissioner of the Election Commission, Ram Prasad Bhandari, has called on all voters to vote confidently in the House of Representatives election to be held on Thursday. He informed that all the preparations related to the conduct and management of the election have been completed and urged the voters to exercise their right to vote.
Elections are the cornerstone of representative governance and elections provide legitimacy and certainty to the people's right to govern through their elected representatives. Therefore, I sincerely request all the voters to attend their respective polling stations and vote confidently tomorrow, Thursday, February 21, 2082," he said. Acting Chief Commissioner Bhandari expressed his belief that the election will strengthen and mature Nepal's constitution and federal democratic system. He said that the Election Commission is fully prepared to conduct elections in a clean, free, fair and fear-free environment.
