Chhath festival preparations begin in Mithila
Surlahi. With the end of Tihar, Mithilanchal is now full of Chhath festival. The villages and towns here have turned festive to welcome Chhath, which is considered one of the major religious festivals of the country. On the occasion of Chhath, which is celebrated as a festival of worship to Sun God and Chathi Mata, cleaning, maintenance and decoration of ponds, ponds and river ghats of Mithila is going on at a fast pace.
Digging holes, repairing roads, lighting and decorating the ghats where devotees worship are going on in full swing.
