Celebrities will contest elections directly, withdrawing their names from the proportional list of the RSVP

Kathmandu. The celebrities included in the proportional list on behalf of the National Independent Party have started withdrawing their names. Singer Trishala Gurung and actor and filmmaker Asif Shah have announced that they have withdrawn their names.
Gurung has taken back her name and announced that she will be active professionally in the medical field as well as in singing. He is also a doctor. She was included in the proportional list of RSVP on behalf of the Bright Nepal Party.
Similarly, film actor Asif Shah has also announced that he has withdrawn his name from the proportional list. He has made it clear that he will be active in politics and that he will fight direct elections instead of proportional ones and it will be a test among the people. He is going to contest from Kathmandu 5.
