Kathmandu.  The 43rd memorial day of the leading leader of the Nepali democratic movement, the country's first popularly elected Prime Minister and famous writer Bishweshwar Prasad BP Koirala is being celebrated today with various programs across the country. Nepali Congress, organizations and civil society affiliated with BP Chintan have organized think tanks, tribute meetings and interaction programs to commemorate his political, ideological and literary contributions.

BP is considered one of the most influential figures in Nepali political history, who stood firm for the struggle to establish democracy in Nepal, the concept of national reconciliation, the philosophy of democratic socialism and civil liberties throughout his life.
