BP highway operation blocked for three days

Kavrepalanchok. The BP highway, which was blocked for three days due to landslides, has been put into operation. Chowkidanda (Nepalthok) section of the highway towards Kavrepalanchok was blocked due to landslides and landslides at various places. In addition to removing the obstruction, the highway was made operational from this morning by making a 'diversion' at the place of the landslide, Suman Yogesh, Chief Divisional Senior Engineer of Division Road Office Bhaktapur informed. The highway has been brought into operation.

Engineer Yogesh said that due to dry landslides, there were some problems in removing diversions and obstructions. Similarly, he said, Roshi (12) was unable to clear the obstruction even on Saturday due to dry landslides falling in the Mamti area. "After the dry landslide stopped, the highway has been removed and brought into operation", he said. Due to the incessant rain since 13th of October, rocks fell on various sections of the highway and landslides including mudslides caused the Chowkidanda (Nepalthok) road to be completely blocked.

Engineer Yogesh informed that traffic operation has been stopped since Thursday night due to continuous dry landslides from above the road. According to him, various parts of the highway were blocked due to the incessant rain since Thursday in Namobuddha municipality (6 Chowkidanda, Paandanda Dalabensi, Narke, Charsaybensi, Ghumane etc.)
