Bangladesh President Mohammad Shahbuddin resigned
Kathmandu. The President of Bangladesh Mohammad Shahabuddin has resigned from his post. He resigned after the leaders of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party, which came to power after the new elections, pressured him to resign.
She fled Bangladesh in 2024 after a student-led movement overthrew Sheikh Hasina and took refuge in India. The president resigned after Hasina recently announced that she would return home from India.
Shahabuddin is also a former associate of Hasina. He became the President of Bangladesh only in 2023. It is said that Shahabuddin has submitted his resignation letter to the Speaker of the Parliament. The Speaker, who had gone to Thailand for treatment, returned to Bangladesh today after shortening his visit to accept the resignation.
