Balen is certain to face KP Oli, when will he resign from the post of mayor?

Kathmandu. It is almost certain that the Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Balendra Shah Jhapa, will become a candidate from Constituency No. 5. This region is the region where CPN-UML Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is winning the elections. Balen has prepared to resign from the post of mayor in order to run for office.
Balen wrote on social networking site Facebook on Sunday night - 'Good luck everyone, we are coming'. During the last local elections in 2079, Balen similarly announced his candidacy a few days before and created a separate atmosphere until the day of nomination registration.
It is not clear when Balen will descend on the constituency, but he has indicated that he will announce his candidacy now. There is about 1 week left for the nomination day for the House of Representatives election. The nomination registration is scheduled for January 6.
