Authority reviewing electricity tariffs: Preparation to reduce tariffs and increase domestic consumption
Kathmandu. Nepal Electricity Authority has started the review process with the aim of making the electricity tariff structure timely. With the goal of maximum utilization of electricity, expansion of internal consumption and development of consumer-friendly tariff system, the board of directors of the authority has formed a special committee with a deadline of 15 days to prepare a new proposal.
The Board of Directors' meeting held on Wednesday has decided to review the current tariff structure and set the new rate based on the same report and proceed with the process for approval before the Electricity Regulatory Commission.
