Authority constructing new Butwal Lamhi transmission line
Kathmandu. The Nepal Electricity Authority is going to construct a new Butwal Lamahi power transmission line with a capacity of 400 KV. The total length of 161 km transmission line is intended to transmit the electricity of eastern Nepal to the west and to construct the transmission line for the electricity transmission of the power projects built in the Gandaki Corridor.
The authority is going to implement the project in Nawalparasi, Rupandehi, Palpa, Kapilvastu, Arghakhanchi and Dang districts of Lumbini province. For the preparation of Environmental Study 9 Preliminary Environmental Test 0 report in the affected area of the transmission line, it is requested to publish public notice and give necessary suggestions and advice.
46 meters of the transmission line with a total capacity of 400 kV has been assigned. Jurisdiction is defined as 23 meters to the right and 23 meters to the left of the center of the transmission line.
There will be a total of 450 towers on the transmission line. Similarly, a substation of 400 (220) 132 (33) 11 KV capacity will be constructed in Rihar located in Ward No. 9 of Lamhi Municipality of Dang.
It is also mentioned in the notification that the authority is going to prepare the environmental study report and what kind of impact it will have on the natural physical system, biological system, social system, cultural and economic system of the area.
