Attempt to throw pig's head into mosque to incite Hindu-Muslim conflict in Birganj
Kathmandu. The Nepali Army has arrested 3 people who tried to incite religious harmony in Birganj. At around 2 o'clock last night, three persons were detained during a special search operation conducted in Birgunj Metropolitan City-16 Inerwa area under the leadership of Srijang Gan Birganj.
Krishna Yadav, a resident of Birganj 16, Rohit Patel and Awajit Yadav of the same place were arrested. A pig's head, nine twine bombs, five pieces of white wire have been recovered from them. In the investigation, it was revealed that they had planned to throw the pig's head in the mosque to spread religious violence. Pigs are considered haram in Islam. Moreover, since the holy month of Ramadan is going on now, if the pig's head reached the mosque, there was a risk of a huge religious conflict.
