As the flood increased, all employees of Kaligandaki Hydropower were moved to a safe place

Kathmandu. With the incessant rain, all the employees in the powerhouse of the Kaligandaki hydroelectric project in Syangja have been shifted to a safe place.

The 144 MW project has been closed since Friday, October 9 due to high water flow in Kaligandaki river.

Sangeeta Giri, Assistant Manager of the project, informed that the powerhouse staff were also sent to a safe place on Sunday, October 11, as the flow of the river was high.
