ANFA suspended by FIFA, findings of third party interference
Kathmandu. FIFA, the highest body of world football, has suspended All Nepal Football Association ANFA. The Bureau of the FIFA Council has decided to suspend ANFA as a serious violation of the FIFA Constitution. According to the statement issued by FIFA, it has been found that there has been interference by a third party in ANFA and it has been concluded that it has violated clause 1 and clause 3 of Article 14 of the FIFA Constitution.
FIFA said that there was external interference in the activities of ANFA and interpreted the interference as a step against the independence and autonomy of the football association. According to the FIFA constitution, member associations must conduct their activities independently.
