Pokhara. Preparations for Mofusal's prestigious national and international inter-club invitational Aha Rara Pokhara Gold Cup football tournament have reached the final stage. It was informed at the press conference held today that the preparations for the tournament to be held at Pokhara Stadium from January 27th to February 9th have reached the final stage.
According to Keshav Bahadur Thapa, president of the organizer Sahara Club, 12 teams, three from abroad and eight from Nepal, will compete for the title in the 25th edition of the tournament. President Thapa said that the prize money of the competition has been increased and the champion team will get Rs. 1.4 million and the runner-up will get Rs.
Last year, the title winner received 1.2 million one thousand and the runner-up with 6 million one thousand and received a shield, medal and certificate. "In order to increase the attractiveness of the competition, we have increased the prizes this year compared to the past, and we believe that night football will increase the football atmosphere here", said Thapa.
According to Sahara, the best player of the tournament will receive an electric scooter, trophy and certificate from Telji Company, the disciplined team, the best goalkeeper, defense, midfielder, striker, coach and the highest scorer and the emerging player will receive a trophy along with 25,000. Likewise, there is a 'Men of the Match' prize of Rs 10,000 and a trophy in every match.
