Agreement between government and Durga Prasain group, general strike called off

Kathmandu. A discussion was held in Baluwatar between the representatives of the government and Durga Prasain-led Nation, Nationality, Religion, Culture and Citizen Rescue Mahabhiyan Nepal. In the talks, there was a detailed discussion regarding the 27-point demands raised by the Great Campaign and it was agreed to withdraw the program of Nepal Bandh and Indefinite General Strike announced from 7th of November 2082.

During the discussion, it was agreed that the government will continue to adiscuss, negotiate and facilitate the issues raised by the civil defense campaign, taking into account the current peace and security situation. A team led by Secretary Premdeep Limbu participated in the talks. On behalf of the government, Home Minister Omprakash Aryal, Prime Minister's Chief Advisor Ajaybhadra Khanal and Advisor Govinda Narayan Timilsina were present.
