After Trump's threat to impose tariffs, China gave this answer
Kathmandu. China has denied the allegations of supplying weapons to Iran as baseless and malicious. Amid US warnings and international media reports, Beijing reiterated its claim that it is a country that follows responsible export policies.
US President Donald Trump has threatened to impose new tariffs of up to 50 percent if China provides military aid to Iran. Trump's strong statement came after the American media claimed that China is preparing to provide advanced air defense systems to Iran in the near future.
CNN quoted American intelligence sources as indicating that China may send advanced defense systems to Iran within the next few weeks. Similarly, The New York Times also publicized the suspicion that Beijing may have sent shoulder-fired missiles.
