Kathmandu. After the bursting of a natural lake formed near the confluence of the Chochen River in China's Tibet and the Purepu Tsangpo River in Nepal, a severe flood has descended from Syafrubesi in Rasuwa. According to the Flood Forecasting Division under the Department of Water and Meteorology, it has been confirmed that the flood in Bhotekoshi River has reached Syafrubesi at 12:31 PM today.
Keeping in view the risk of flooding, the residents of the Trishuli river coastal area from Syafrubesi, Dhunche, Betravati, Vidur, Galchi to Muglin have been requested to stay in safe and high places with high vigilance until further notice.
After it was confirmed that the lake, which is closed to China, has burst, the Nuwakot and Rasuwa administrations and the police have been miking in the coastal settlements and asking people to move to safe places.
