Advertisement Board requests candidates not to publish or broadcast misleading advertisements in elections

Kathmandu. The Advertising Board has requested the candidates not to publish, broadcast or broadcast misleading advertisements during the campaigning for the upcoming House of Representatives elections. The board issued a press release and said that the board has been receiving complaints about activities such as directly or indirectly inciting party and party candidates or leaders and activists and creating confusion on social media.
The Election Commission and the Advertising Board have agreed to monitor, regulate, investigate and take action on advertisements during elections.
"Advertising Board, the regulatory body of the advertising sector, is conducting a detailed study of activities such as creating confusion among the voters, inciting and misleading the voters by using misleading audio and audio-visual materials", the statement said.
