Advance ticket booking for Dasain will open from 23rd October

Kathmandu. To manage the rush of passengers returning home during Dasain, advance ticket booking for public vehicles will be open from October 23rd. On Tuesday, the Transport Management Department decided to open the bookings for Dasain traffic management after discussing with the National Transport Traders Federation, Truck Traders Federation, Transport Traders Federation, Transport Related Workers Association, Traffic Police and other stakeholders.

According to the director general of the department, Rajeev Pokharel, advance ticket booking will be opened from 23 October. A route permit has also been opened from Phulpati to Purnima to operate long and medium distance vehicles in reserve according to the passenger traffic.

Due to the large number of passengers traveling in a short period during Dasain, the route permit has been opened to organize the operation of reserve vehicles along with regular route vehicles.
