About 37 million rupees were looted from the SBI Bank at Gyanglekh in Sindhuli
Ramechhap. There has been a robbery at the Nepal SBI Bank branch located in Hayutar, Khyanglekh rural municipality of Sindhuli district. According to the police, a group of robbers who came with weapons on Tuesday evening took control of the security guards and employees of the bank and looted about 37 million rupees.
According to preliminary investigation, around five masked robbers entered the bank in a Tata Sumo coming from Banepa. The police said that they tied up the security guard of the bank, pointed a pistol at him and injured him.
After the robbery, the joint efforts of locals and the police managed to capture the Tata Sumo with the embossed number plate Ba 3D 0398 and its driver, which was used in the robbery, and its driver, Roshan Vlon, Ward Chairman of Gyanglekh Rural Municipality-2 informed. The said vehicle was seized from Tuni Bhanjyang area under Ward No. 1 of Rural Municipality.
