A writ in the Supreme Court against 'Green Army Nepal'

Kathmandu. A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court against 'Green Army Nepal' for using uniforms, ranks and insignia similar to those of the Nepali Army during the flood in Bhotekosi area of ​​Rasuwa. Advocates Sambraj Aryal, Purna Bahadur Saud, Govindram Periyar and Bishnuwar Singh Thapa filed the writ on Friday.

 In the writ petition, various agencies including the Prime Minister's Office, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, the Nepal Army, the Nepal Police, along with the Green Army Nepal, have been made opponents.

The petitioners have claimed that the organization is operating in a military structure different from normal non-governmental organizations. It is mentioned in the writ that the organization divides its members into ranks of a military nature by using military-style clothing, insignia, boots and communication equipment.
