A joint appeal of the 11 provincial assembly regional presidents of Kathmandu to participate in the special convention of the Congress

Kathmandu. The Chairpersons of Nepali Congress Kathmandu District State Assembly Constituency have called on all the Congress delegates to actively participate in the special convention of the party to be held at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu on January 27th and 28th.

Chairman of all 11 provincial assembly constituencies of Kathmandu district under Bagmati province issued a joint statement on Saturday and welcomed the special convention. They mentioned that the special convention called with the signature of 54.58 percent of convention delegates is timely and necessary for the protection and strengthening of democracy in view of the heterogeneous political situation of the country after the Jenji movement.

In the statement, it is claimed that Nepali Congress is a party capable of taking serious decisions on contemporary political challenges while strengthening ideological clarity, organizational unity and internal democracy. It has also been expressed the belief that the party can be given a new direction and speed with the active participation of all congress representatives.

According to Section 17, 2 of the Congress Constitution 2017 with amendments, they have appealed to all the representatives to compulsorily attend the special convention to be held on January 27 and 28 and contribute to the process of party building.

The joint statement was signed by regional presidents of the state assembly, Prahlad Karki, Dhruv KC, Bimal Hoda, Ramprasad Luintel, Ramesh Dangol, Raju Khadka, Khyam Tiwari, Vasudev Lama, Shivkumar Khanal, Mohankumar Basnet and Rajendra Bhattarai.
