A case was filed against 3 people who gave driving license to those who are abroad

Kathmandu. After confirmation of serious irregularities in the distribution of driver's license at the Transport Management Office, Jumla, the Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission has filed a case in the Special Court, Kathmandu. During the investigation, it was revealed that 18 people who failed and were absent in the practical examination field test in the financial year 2075 and 076 were issued driver's license after changing the results. Also, it has been found that a license has been issued in the name of Shalikram Bhandari who is in Malaysia during his foreign employment.

According to the commission, Shalikram Bhandari went to Malaysia on 19 August 2070 and returned to Nepal only on 23 August 2075. But while he was abroad, he passed the test on 20th July 2075 and was issued a driver's license.

During the investigation, Madan Prasad Devkota, the then Acting Head of the Transport Management Office, Jumla, Deputy Inspector of Police Gangaram V.K., member of the examination committee. And the involvement of Mechanical Supervisor Shambhu Dahal has been confirmed.
