Kathmandu. More than 837 thousand voters have been added in Nepal. According to the Election Commission, there has been enthusiastic participation in the voter list registration process for the House of Representatives election announced for February 21. According to the Commission, as of November 5, 837 thousand 94 voters have applied to the Commission for registration.
According to Kul Bahadur Jisi, Assistant Spokesperson of the Commission, since the government announced to start the roll registration process through the Ordinance, 837 thousand 94 voters have registered the roll. Initially, the commission had set the deadline for registering the list till November 30th, but at the request of the government, the deadline for registering the list was extended till November 5th.
Three lakh 44 thousand 914 people have registered their names through online technology through the Commission's web portal. Out of which there are 1 lakh 92 thousand 890 males and 1 lakh 51 thousand 980 females. According to the commission, 44 voters have registered their names even after mentioning gender.
