70 days left for the election: the draft of the election code of conduct has been prepared

Kathmandu. The Election Commission has issued a draft of the Election Code of Conduct-2082 for suggestions. The commission has issued a draft of the code of conduct for the election of members of the House of Representatives to be held on February 21. According to the commission, a draft code of conduct has been issued to maintain freedom, cleanliness, fairness, transparency, frugality and fear-free environment in elections.

Section 22 of the Election Commission Act, 2073 has been used by the Commission to issue a draft code of conduct for advice and suggestions. The code of conduct has 10 chapters, five schedules. With the release of this code of conduct, the election code of conduct 2079 has been repealed, the commission said. It has been arranged that the names of those who violate the current code of conduct will be made public, electronic means or information technology can be used. In the code of conduct, provision has also been made that the election manifesto should be made public.
