Janakpur. The alliance of 7 political parties recently formed in Madhesh province is going to protest and peaceful movement across the province today including Janakpurdham. In a press release issued late last night, the seven-party alliance has informed that they will hold a protest and peaceful protest from 8:30 am today.
The seven-party alliance consists of JSP Nepal, LOSPA, Nepali Congress, CPN Maoist Center, CPN S, Civil Liberation Party. They have requested all the leaders and workers of the constituent parties and justice-loving people to participate in today's protest.

Yesterday evening, the newly appointed Chief Minister of Madhesh Province, Saroj Kumar Yadav, took office in the Chief Minister's Office, which was temporarily built inside the Madhesh Bhavan in Janakpurdham. At the same time, leaders and activists of 7 political parties were protesting in front of Madhesh Bhavan.

At the same time as the demonstration, more than a dozen leaders and activists were injured after the security personnel started lathi charge. They are being treated at the provincial hospital. One leader's leg is broken. A journalist who went to collect news also got his head broken.
The seven-party alliance has demanded that the appointment of Saroj Kumar Yadav as the chief minister should be revoked, saying that the then Madhesh state chief Sumitra Subedi Bhandari had appointed Saroj Kumar Yadav as the chief minister in an unconstitutional manner. They have demanded that the security personnel involved in yesterday's baton charge should also be punished.
