648 climbers are allowed to climb mountains

Kathmandu. So far, 648 climbers have been given permission to climb various mountains in Nepal for autumn 2026. According to the report published by the tourism department, 648 people belonging to 71 climbing groups have received permission for 20 different mountains.
According to the report, there are 485 men and 163 women among those who got permission. During this period, the government has collected 15 lakh 71 thousand 659 US dollars i.e. 23 crore 89 lakh 64 thousand 298 rupees as royalties from mountain climbing, the department informed.
According to the report, the Manaslu mountain has become the most popular attraction for climbers in autumn. Only 500 people from 43 teams have received permission to climb the 8,163 meter high Manaslu. It has 373 men and 127 women.
