6 Voting can be done on the basis of government documents

Kathmandu. The Election Commission has said that one can vote if they have one of the government documents. The commission clarified that even if one does not have a voter ID card, one can vote if one of the six types of government documents is presented. According to the commission, it is mandatory to be registered in the voter's list to vote.
There is a rule that registered voters should carry their voter ID card with them when they go to vote. In case of missing or destroyed voter ID card, one can vote if they present at the polling station with Nepali citizenship certificate, national identity card, passport, driver's license or proof of land ownership.
Voters hose names are included in the final voter list published by the Commission for the election of members of the House of Representatives and who have reached the age of 18 by February 20th can go to the designated polling station and vote.
