6 drivers under control for driving under the influence of drugs
Kathmandu. The traffic police arrested six drivers who were driving under the influence of drugs during a lapsed check conducted today in front of the Nagadhunga check post in Chandragiri municipality ward number 2 of Kathmandu.
Among them, there are 4 truck drivers, 1 public passenger vehicle rental bus driver, and 1 microbus driver. The joint team of Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, Narcotics Control Bureau and Nagadhunga Traffic Police Division with the support of Nepal Police Hospital's technical team found 6 drivers driving the vehicle under the influence of drugs. They have been sent to Nagadhunga Police Division Kathmandu for further investigation and action.
Driving a vehicle under the influence of drugs is illegal and punishable by the driver who is driving a sensitive vehicle such as carrying passengers, as driving the vehicle puts not only the driver's life at risk but also the lives of the passengers, so if the driver of the vehicle he is riding in is suspected to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, the passenger is requested to immediately report to the nearest police office, traffic control room hotline number 103 and police hotline number 100.
