Kathmandu. After six posts of Deputy Inspector General DIG became vacant in the Armed Police Force, preparations are being made to promote them in a few days. Inspector General of Armed Police Raju Aryal is scheduled to go to Janakpur today, so he will be delayed by one day, according to the Armed Police Force Headquarters.

There is a competition between 14 SSPs for the promotion of DIG. DIGs Kamal Giri, Shambhu Subedi and Kulbikram Nemwang retired on Thursday due to their five-year term as DIGs, and six posts were left vacant. Out of the 6 posts, one is for the Directorate of Law and the remaining 5 are for Administration. In terms of law, SSP Yuvraj Aryal is the only contender.

Similarly, there will be competition for five posts among 13 SSPs only on the administration side. Among them are Prabeen Kandel, Digbijay Subedi, Bhupendra KC, Kamal Tiusina, Nirakrishna Adhikari, Sudheerjung Thapa, Kiran Basnet, Madhav Poudel, Uddhav Neupane, Rajendra Khadka, Narendra Sen, Kiran Dhungana and Shankar Khanal.

Among them, Kandel, who is number one, has been transferred from Nepal Police and his performance is also weak, so his chances are low. The remaining 12 are officers of Section 2 of the Armed Police.
