51st convocation ceremony of Trivi today
Kathmandu. The 51st convocation ceremony of Tribhuvan University is taking place today. For the first time in the history of the university, Prof. Dr. Deepak Aryal, vice chancellor of the university informed that the convocation is going to be organized today with the Nobel laureate as the chief guest. Nobel laureate Japanese professor Takaaki Kajita will be the chief guest at the ceremony. Affiliated with the University of Tokyo, he received the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physics.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Aryal said that all preparations have been made for the convocation. He informed that all the work including mandap construction, management of chairs for initiated students and parents has been completed. This time, it is said that more than 16 thousand 300 students will be initiated. It is said that 41 thousand people including students and parents will participate in the convocation ceremony.
89 thousand 191 students have passed from the university including bachelor's degree, master's degree, darshancharya and vidyavaridi level. Out of this, 16,380 students applied for participation in the convocation ceremony, said Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Aryal
