5 million ballots for proportional representation are yet to be printed
Kathmandu. The Election Commission has said that 15 million ballots for the proportional election system have been printed. The printing of the ballot paper started from the 2nd of January at the printing house of Janak Shiksha Material Kendra Limited.
Now 5 million ballot papers are left to be printed. The commission said that the printing of the ballots for the direct election system will begin immediately after the printing of the ballots for the proportional system is completed. The final list of direct candidates has been decided. For the purpose of registration of nomination papers, one copy of the voter's list was printed and sent to all the districts.
The Commission has released the list of 3,406 candidates for the House of Representatives election to be held on February 21. The commission has also provided election symbols on Friday itself.
