5 arrested for raising slogans against the Minister of Education

Kathmandu. Five youths who protested and raised slogans against Tribhuvan University Vice-Chancellor and Minister of Education, Science and Technology Sasmit Pokharel have been detained by the police. Minister Pokharel reached the venue at Kirtipur on Thursday to participate in the 67th annual day and assembly meeting of Tribhuvan University. At the same time, a group of youths gathered outside the venue and protested against Minister Pokharel by shouting slogans.

Five people involved in shouting slogans and protesting in the university premises have been detained. During the demonstration, the youth displayed placards with slogans such as 'Nepo Baby Death', 'Implement Meritocracy', stop political interference in universities, abolish the system of Prime Minister as Chancellor and Education Minister as Vice-Chancellor.
