33 people awarded from taxpayer lottery, 10 lakhs each to two people
Kathmandu The government has selected 33 people for the award through the lottery system conducted to encourage taxpayers to compulsorily charge 9bil0 when purchasing goods and services throughout the month of August. Among the shortlisted two lucky consumers will get a prize of Rs.10 lakh per person and 31 other people will get a prize of Rs.1 lakh per person.
The Internal Revenue Department has been running such a lottery program to develop the habit of asking consumers for bills during purchases.
Generally, the lottery is held every 15 days, but due to the flood that occurred in Rasuwa on August 10, the regular process was affected, but the lottery was held once in the month of August.
