300 foreign tourists visited the Kanchenjunga Himal region this year
Taplejung. Recently, climbing the mountain peak located in Taplejung has started. Two French nationals successfully climbed the 6,808-meter "White Wave Peak" for the first time in the second week of last October. According to Tenji Sherpa of Annarpuna Foothills Treks and Expeditions, the climbers are French nationals Benjamin Charles Eli Vedrins and Nicolas Paul Aristide.
Last week, a citizen of Chili had successfully climbed Pathibhara Himal, which is in the lap of Kanchenjunga Himal. Tourism assistant Sherpa said that three citizens of France reached the base camp area of the mountain to climb the 32nd highest mountain in the world and the 15th highest in Nepal. The height of that mountain is seven thousand 710 meters.
In 2019, it is said that a citizen of France has successfully climbed Kumbakarna Himal for the first time. In recent years, the mountains here have started to be climbed with enthusiasm. In October of last year, four South Korean citizens successfully climbed the 6,328-meter Sharfu (5) mountain for the first time.
Sharfu (4) mountain was climbed for the first time in March of last year. Hernan Leal, a citizen of Chilika, mountaineer Lakpachiring Sherpa, Nada Sherpa and photographer Purnima Shrestha succeeded in climbing the 6,433 meter high Sharfu (4) mountain for the first time.
