3 candidates including Gagan Thapa for Congress President
Kathmandu. The candidacy registration for the leadership selection under the upcoming 15th Congress of Nepali Congress has been completed enthusiastically. For the election to be held on October 22, three people, including the current chairman Gagan Kumar Thapa, have been officially nominated for the post of chairman.
According to the information provided by the Central Election Committee of the party, the nominations of Gagan Kumar Thapa, Kishore Singh Rathore and Shyamakrishna Khadgi for the post of Chairman have been registered till 7.30 pm on Tuesday evening.
Youth leader Shyamakrishna Khadgi was the first to register nominations. After that, Gagan Thapa and then former Joint Chief Minister Kishore Singh Rathore registered their nominations by reaching the election office at the National Assembly at 6:30 in the evening.
