277 customers blacklisted for not paying electricity tariff
Kathmandu. Bharatpur distribution center under Nepal Electricity Authority has blacklisted 277 customers who have not paid electricity tariff in the current financial year. According to the center, action has been initiated against customers who have refused to pay dues for a long time.
According to Center Information Officer Nandram Bista, 1 crore 4 lakh 17 thousand 381 dues are yet to be collected from blacklisted customers. He said that the center has taken strict measures to make the collection of arrears effective. During that period, the act of disconnecting the electricity service of the customers who do not pay the tariff has also been accelerated. So far this financial year, 1,826 customers have been disconnected. Bista informed that action has been taken according to the policy of disconnecting the lines of customers who do not pay the fee even for six months.
