21 applications for the post of Director General of CAAN

Kathmandu — Twenty-one people have applied for the post of Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN). The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation issued a press release on Monday announcing the number of candidates who applied for the post of Director General. According to the ministry, applications for the vacancy were invited starting from Baisakh 12.

The ministry said that, as expected, there has been strong interest in the position opened for selecting the leadership of the authority. It stated that the initial screening and evaluation process for the applications received will now move forward, and qualified candidates will be included in the further process. Since the post of Director General is the position that holds the authority’s chief executive responsibility, competition for it is expected to be intense.
