19th Session of National Assembly: Seven important Bills and Ordinances passed in 17 hours

Kathmandu. The 19th session of the National Assembly of the Federal Parliament has concluded with historic achievements. Addressing the meeting, Chairman Narayan Prasad Dahal said that although this convention is short in terms of time, it is very important in terms of work and something to be proud of in the future.

He mentioned that the National Assembly has successfully performed its parental role when the election atmosphere is being created across the country in the run-up to the House of Representatives elections. During this period, the Assembly passed important laws such as Tourism Bill 2081, Film Bill 2081 and National Forensic Science Laboratory Establishment and Operation Bill 2081 and sent them to the House of Representatives. 

Similarly, the Intangible Natural Heritage Protection Bill has been sent to the Legislature Management Committee for quarterly discussion, while various amendment ordinances of the Voter's Roll Act, the Election of Members of the House of Representatives and the Nepal Special Service Act have been unanimously approved by the Assembly. However, the government has withdrawn the Social Media Bill 2081.
