1900 cooperatives in Kathmandu metropolis, half of them do not submit reports

Main News Image

Kathmandu. About 1,900 cooperatives are operating within the Kathmandu Metropolitan City. Even 50 percent of the operating cooperatives do not submit reports regularly. The fact that there are more cooperatives that do not report regularly means that there are problems in such cooperatives.

According to the Kampa Cooperatives Department, out of about 1,900 cooperatives operating in their area, only 723 regularly submit annual reports. According to Dhuvra Kumar Kafle, the head of Kampa Cooperative Department, the metropolis has been requesting to submit the annual report on a regular basis. If the annual report is not submitted for a long time under various pretexts, Kampa is ready to go to legal process.
