18 members of the National Assembly who were elected on January 19 took oath today

Kathmandu. The newly elected members of the National Assembly will be sworn in today. According to the Secretary General of the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Padma Prasad Pandey, the oath-taking program has been scheduled at 2 o'clock in the afternoon at the Hall of the Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee at Singha Darbar. Elections were held for 18 members of the National Assembly who were to become vacant on January 11th.
According to the Secretariat of the Federal Parliament, the President of the National Assembly, Narayan Prasad Dahal, is scheduled to take the oath in accordance with Clause 2 of Article 86 of the Constitution of Nepal. For the swearing-in ceremony, the candidate must be present in a dress that reflects his identity, along with a copy of the National Assembly member position certificate and citizenship certificate obtained from the Election Commission.
According to the law, the members who want to take oath in their mother tongue other than Nepali language must provide the oath in their mother tongue translated. According to the Election Commission, Roshni Meche, Somnath Portel, Sunil Bahadur Thapa were elected as members of the National Assembly on January 11 from Koshi Province.
