17 rhinos have died in Chitwan National Park since July

Kathmandu. 17 rhinos have died in the current financial year. One of them was electrocuted and the rest died of natural causes. 57 wild animals including rhinoceros have died in this financial year. Those wild animals have died in the park and surrounding areas since July. According to Chitwan National Park information officer Avinas Thapamar, 4 tigers, 3 elephants and 18 chitals have died in this financial year. 2 and 2 leopards, crocodiles, alligators and crocodiles, 1 and 1 python and 1 gold bull and 4 other wild animals have died. Those wild animals died of natural causes.

Those wild animals have died due to getting stuck in swamps, getting tangled, getting into accidents, being attacked by tigers, etc. He said that in this financial year, due to awareness and socially awakened feelings, wild animals have been saved from the target of poachers. He said that with the increase in the awareness of conservation at the community level, it has helped in reducing the poaching of wildlife. In the last financial year, 81 wild animals died.
